CFP: SHCY Featured Students

The Society for the History of Children and Youth calls for submissions to “Featured Students,” a space for doctoral students to share their findings, inspirations, and challenges during their dissertation projects.

Previous Students have framed their Features around these types of questions:
-What do you want your peers and other academics to know about your work?
-What inspires your research? (ideas, theories, great works, pressing issues, persistent problems, hopes and aspirations).
-What questions are you asking and how are you trying to answer them?
-Why do you think that this research is important?

Examples of past FS episodes are available at: http://www.shcy.org/features/students/

If you would like to make a contribution, contact Patrick Ryan at editor@shcy.org

To be part of "Featured Students" in 2022-23 academic year, materials would need to be delivered to us by the fall of 2022.  We will need the following:

1) E-mail address Short C.V. 100-200 word bio statement
2) Hi-Res head-shot of you
3) A 750-2,500 word essay or reflection on your dissertation project
4) Additional visual material to serve as a banner or to provide a sense of your work as appropriate.

Optional: Students might choose to produce audio or video rather than written text - or a combination of the two.
