SHCY is co-sponsoring the conference "When Filiation Is Not Self-Evident: Filiation and Violence, 20th–21st Centuries," hosted at the Centre for History, Sciences Po (CHSP), Paris, on November 4-6, 2026.
Scholars wishing to present their work are invited to submit a provisional title, an abstract (maximum 500 words), and a short bibliography to: filiations.colloque2026@gmail.com
Proposals should be submitted no later than June 30, 2026. Selected proposals will be announced over the summer, ahead of September. In order to encourage the participation of early-career international scholars, the conference will be bilingual (English and French). A subsequent publication is planned.
